Suleman Walji left Jamnagar for Kilwa in 1900. In 1901 his son Mohamedali was born in Kilwa. in 1905 Suleman Walji, Suleman Bhimji and Noormohamed Sheriff Manekia (grandfather of Husseinali Manekia) met the Aga Khan when his ship anchored in Kilwa port. In 1914 he left for hajj and then lived in many different places in East Africa including Dar es Salaam and Kigoma. He finally settled in Albertsville (now Kalemie) in Congo. His grandson Rajabali has a business R M Suleman in Congo (1960)
